CLASSIC COCKTAILS

ATHENS 3/5/2022


1/SPRITZ 

wine glass filled with ice

90 ml Prosecco

60 ml Aperol / or Campari

Splash of Soda water

Garnish with a slice of orange


2/Cosmopolitan

40 ml Vodka Citron

15 ml Cointreau

15 ml Fresh Lime Juice

30 ml Cranberry Juice

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a large cocktail glass.

Garnish with a lemon twist.


3/KIR/OR ROYAL

90 ml Dry White Wine

10 ml Crème de Cassis

Pour Crème de Cassis into wine glass, top up with white wine.

KIR ROYAL – Use Champagne instead of white wine


4/Mai-Tai

30 ml White Rum

30 ml Dark  Rhum

15 ml Orange Curacao

15 ml Orgeat Syrup (Almond)

30 ml Fresh Lime Juice

7.5 ml Simple Syrup

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a double rocks glass or a highball glass.

Garnish with pineapple spear, mint leaves, and lime peel.


5/Margarita

50 ml Tequila 100% Agave

20 ml Triple Sec

15 ml Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice

30 ml Fruits pulp for strawberies, mango ....... margarita

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.

Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass

Half salt rim (Optional)


6/Mimosa

75 ml Fresh orange juice

75 ml Prosecco

Pour orange juice into a flute glass and gently pour the sparkling wine. Stir gently.

Also known as Buck’s Fizz.

Garnish with an orange twist (optional).


7/Mojito

45 ml White Cuban Ron

20 ml  Fresh Lime Juice

6 pcs Mint Sprigs

2 tsp White Cane Sugar

Soda Water

Mix mint springs with sugar and lime juice. Add splash of soda water and fill the glass with ice. Pour the rum and top with soda water. Light stir to involve all ingredients.

Garnish with sprigs of mint and slice of lime.


8/Moscow Mule

45 ml Smirnoff Vodka

120 ml Ginger Beer

10 ml Fresh lime juice

In a Mule Cup or rocks glass, combine the vodka and ginger beer. Add lime juice and gently stir to involve all ingredients.

Garnish with a lime slice


9/Pina Colada

50 ml White Rum

30 ml Coconut Cream

50 ml Fresh Pineapple Juice

Blend all the ingredients with ice in an electric blender, pour into a large glass, and serve with straws.

Historically a few drops of fresh lime juice were added to taste. 4 slices of fresh pineapple can be used instead of juice

Garnish with a slice of pineapple with a cocktail cherry.


10/Sea Breeze

40 ml Vodka

120 ml Cranberry Juice

30 ml Grapefruit Juice

Build all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice.

Garnish with orange zest and cherry


11/Sex on the Beach

40 ml Vodka

20 ml Peach Schnapps

40 ml Fresh Orange Juice

40 ml Cranberry Juice

Build all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice.

Garnish with a half orange slice.


12/Vesper (Casino Royal J. Bond Cocktail)

45 ml Gin

15 ml Vodka

7.5 ml Noilly Prat vermouth

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Lemon zest


13/Champagne Cocktail

90 ml Chilled Champagne

10 ml Cognac

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Few drops of Grand Marnier (optional)

1 sugar cube

Place the sugar cube with 2 dashes of bitters in a large Champagne glass, add the cognac. Pour gently chilled Champagne.

Garnish with orange zest and maraschino cherry.


14/Caipirinha

60 ml Cachaça

1 Lime cut into small wedges

4 Teaspoons White Cane Sugar

Place lime and sugar into a double old fashioned glass and muddle gently. Fill the glass with cracked ice and add Cachaça. Stir gently to involve ingredients.

RED CAIPIROSKA – Instead of Cachaça use Vodka and Red Graipfruit


15/Bellini (Queens Cocktail)

100 ml Prosecco

50 ml White Peach Puree

Pour peach puree into the mixing glass with ice, add the Prosecco wine. Stir gently and pour in a chilled flute glass.

PUCCINI – Fresh Mandarin Orange Juice;

ROSSINI – Fresh Strawberry Puree;

TINTORETTO – Fresh Pomegranate Juice.


16/Bloody Mary

45 ml Vodka

90 ml Tomato Juice

15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice

2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce

Tabasco, Celery Salt, Pepper (Up to taste)

Stir gently all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, pour into rocks glass.

If requested served with ice, pour into highball glass.

GARNISH Celery, Lemon Wedge (Optional)


17/Cuba Libre

50 ml White Rum

120ml Coca Cola

10 ml Fresh Lime Juice

Build all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice.

Garnish with lime wedge.


18/Americano

30 ml Bitter Campari

30 ml Sweet Red Vermouth

A splash of Soda Water

Mix the ingredients directly in an old fashioned glass filled with ice cubes. Add a splash of Soda Water. Stir gently.

Garnish with half orange slice and a lemon zest.

HISTORY

The story of the Americano dates back to the second half of the 1800s in Gaspare Campari’s bar in Milan.  Over the years the cocktail acquires notoriety thanks to some homages from the world of cinema, including James Bond (007 Casino Royale) whose favorite cocktail was, precisely, the Americano.

The nickname “American” was born when Primo Carnera, a giant Italian boxer, became world heavyweight champion at Madison Square Garden in New York.  When Carnera returned to Italy with the title, he was greeted with this very Italian cocktail which, for the occasion, was called “Americano”.


19/Daiquiri

60 ml White Cuban Ron

20 ml Fresh Lime Juice

2 Bar Spoons Superfine Sugar

In a cocktail shaker add all ingredients. Stir well to dissolve the sugar. Add ice and shake. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.

For fruit Daiquiri /30 ml Fruits pulp for strawberies, mango, .......


20/Dry Martini

60 ml Gin

10 ml Dry Vermouth

Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain into chilled martini cocktail glass.

Squeeze oil from lemon peel onto the drink, or garnish with green olives if requested.


21/Negroni

30 ml Gin

30 ml Bitter Campari

30 ml Sweet Red Vermouth

Pour all ingredients directly into a chilled old fashioned glass filled with ice, Stir gently.

Garnish with a half orange slice.


22/Old Fashioned

45 ml Bourbon or Rye Whiskey

1 Sugar Cube

Few Dashes Angostura Bitters

Few Dashes Plain Water

Place sugar cube in old fashioned glass and saturate with bitter, add few dashes of plain water. Muddle until dissolved. Fill the glass with ice cubes and add whiskey. Stir gently.

Garnish with an orange slice or zest, and a cocktail cherry.


23/Barracuda

45 ml Gold Rum

15 ml Galliano

60 ml Fresh Pineapple Juice

1 dash Fresh Lime Juice

Top up with Prosecco

Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker except the Prosecco, shake well with ice, strain into chilled highball glass filled with ice and top up with Prosecco.

Garnish with Pineapple and Cherry, optional mint sprig for additional aroma.


24/Dark ‘n’ stormy

60 ml Dark Rum

100 ml Ginger Beer

In a highball glass filled with ice pour the ginger beer and top floating with the Rum.

Garnish with a lime wedge or slice.


25/Blue Hawaiian

25 ml Bacardi Carta Blanco

25 ml bluecuraçao

1 tsp coconut cream(or Badida)

100 ml pineapple juice

Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Serve in a Hurricane glass (or other tall glass).

Garnish with cherry and fresh pineapple slice.

For fun, take crushed coconut and roll in blue food coloring, then let dry.

Dip rim of glass in rum, then dip into blue coconut.

Add skewer with ¾" pineapple chunks.


26/Apple Martini

30ml vodka

10ml apple Schnapps splash of Cointreau thin apple piece for garnish sour apple martini

20ml vodka

10ml apple Schnapps with big squeeze of fresh lime juice 

Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain into chilled martini cocktail glass.

Thin apple slice for garnish


27/ Fraîcheur Egéenne

30ml Tsipouro

20ml Martini Bianco

20ml Mastic liqueur

5ml Blue Curacao

Splash soda water

Lime leaves piece

Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Strain into chilled martini cocktail glass.

Garnish rose leaf
